Is is true dat the government is goin to send ppl who file there taxes a refund check?

ive been hearin rumors of this dat the government is suposed to send like $300 checks to every person dat files there taxes this year i was wonderin if this statement is true!!!!!!?????????Is is true dat the government is goin to send ppl who file there taxes a refund check?
Under the compromise bill passed by the Congress, you would be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $600 if you paid that much in Federal Income Tax. If you only paid $350 in taxes (less than the $600 rebate limit), you only get back $350. Since you had earned income of at least $3000, you would get at least the minimum rebate of $300.

According to the IRS, the Treasury will begin sending stimulus payments in May. The stimulus payments will go out through the late spring and summer.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, in 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

It's like a one time tax cut for 2008, but you get the rebate now instead of waiting to file your 2008 taxes. Is is true dat the government is goin to send ppl who file there taxes a refund check?
You are so late....... but anyway go to irs.gov to learn more. And it is true
No, not everyone. If you are a dependent you aren't eligible. If your income on your return is less than $3000, you aren't eligible. If your income is over $150K on a joint return or $75K on a return that isn't a joint return, your rebate is phased down and if you are much above that, you aren't eligible. Pretty much everyone else who files will get a rebate.
Yes. ';dat'; is true. Sort of. You have to meet certain qualifications to get the $600 check....the $300 check is for children of taxpayers. Did you make more than $3000 last year? Did you file a return? Look up this story in the news and learn more about it.
The final details are still being worked out by Congress and the President, but, yes, a tax refund plan is in the works.

Right now as it stands, single people could get up to $600 back (based on income) and couples could get up to $1200 back (again, based on income). People with children could possibly get up to $300 per child.
