I have lived with physical pain over 5 years now and no sacrifice makes it go away...Is it true dat making a sacrifice makes pain go away!?

I hate going to the dentist because of the pain that accompanies it. But somehow the pain is minimized, if not completely eliminated when I offer the experience, the pain I expect to come to God. I let go and let God.
only when you make the sacrifice truly from your heart and mean it, if you do it just to get something in return then nothing goes away and you're just doing good to get something in return.
